Standard treatment is as follows:

• Adults should take 5 to 10 ml, 4 to 6 times per day.
• Children should take one-half the adult dose, 4 to 6 times per day.
• Babies should be given one-quarter the adult dose, 4 to 6 times per day.
• All ages should take quarter- or half-doses of their respective dose amounts for the first 2 or 3 days to allow the body to become accustomed to treatment.
• Shake bottle well before dispensing each dose.
• Avoid consuming coffee, tea, or other caffeinated products for 20 minutes before and after each dose.
• Swill each dose in the mouth for 10 seconds before swallowing.
• Doses can be mixed with hot water for a more diluted-tasting tea if desired.

Individuals who are significantly underweight or overweight may need to adjust dosage accordingly.

Some patients should discuss potential risks with a doctor before starting treatment with Harker Herbals Expectorant Support, namely those who are:

• Trying to conceive
